General Bill
Expunction and Sealing of Judicial Records:
Provides for sealing of petitions for domestic violence injunction & related documents if petition was withdrawn, dismissed, or there was ruling in favor of respondent; exempts expunctions sought for cases dismissed or nolle prosequi or that resulted in an acquittal from limit on number of expunctions that may be sought; expands exception to eligibility requirement for expunction of criminal history record to allow expunction for an offense committed when person was minor; requires FDLE to act on applications for certificates of eligibility within specified time.
