HB 1525 (2021) -  Misconduct by Law Enforcement Officers

Provides legislative findings & intent; requires every law enforcement agency to create an early intervention system to track & identify potentially damaging patterns of behavior by law enforcement officers; requires law enforcement agencies to collect & report to FDLE specified data concerning use of force incidents; provides for suspension of funding for local law enforcement agencies that fail to comply; requires specified data be collected in compliance with federal standards.
