HB 263 (2023) -  Cardiac and Medical Emergencies on School Grounds

Requires public & private schools to have automated external defibrillator on school grounds; provides requirements for defibrillators; authorizes school to establish public or private partnership & seek gifts, grants & other donations for specified purposes; requires each school to establish emergency action plan; requires each school to provide information to students & school employees; provides requirements for such plans & information; provides immunity from liability under Good Samaritan Act & Cardiac Arrest Survival Act; requires school districts to make certain trainings available annually to all school employees; & provides reporting requirements.
