636.045 Minimum surplus requirements.—(1) Each prepaid limited health service organization must at all times maintain a minimum surplus in an amount which is the greater of $150,000 or 10 percent of total liabilities.
(2) The office may not issue a certificate of authority unless the prepaid limited health service organization has a minimum surplus in an amount of $150,000 or 10 percent of liabilities, whichever is the greater amount.
(3) A prepaid limited health service organization that is authorized in this state and one or more other states, jurisdictions, or countries is subject to ss. 624.4085 and 624.40851. History.—s. 36, ch. 93-148; s. 21, ch. 2000-209; s. 1539, ch. 2003-261; s. 15, ch. 2014-101.
