General Bill by Bembry (CO-SPONSORS) Bullard; Crisafulli; Soto; Zapata
Pest Control: Provides for enactment of Pest Control Compact; requires Commissioner of Agriculture to administer compact; requires that application for assistance be made by commissioner; provides for establishment of Pest Control Insurance Fund to finance pest-control operations under compact; provides for administration of fund by governing board & executive committee; provides procedure for expenditures from fund; provides for determination regarding expenditures from fund & for review of such expenditures; authorizes governing board to establish advisory & technical committees; provides for application on behalf of nonparty state; provides requirements for fund regarding budgets & maintenance of financial assets; prohibits pledge of assets of state that is party to compact; provides for compact to enter into force upon enactment by five or more states; provides procedure for state to withdraw from compact.
