General Bill
Medical Quality Assurance:
Requires certain disciplinary actions to be reported to DMQA of DOH rather than AHCA; requires DOH receive copies of adverse incident reports & patient records; authorizes facility to charge fee for copies of records; provides additional requirements for constitution of quorum for meetings of certain committees & boards operating under ch. 456, F.S.; revises provisions relating to fees for licensure examinations & reinspections, extension of temporary licenses, & licensure requirements; prohibits department from renewing licenses of licensees with outstanding fees, costs, or fines; provides for notice & renewal of license when requirements are met; provides for display of business establishment license; authorizes board or department to adopt rules relating to reporting of sexual misconduct by licensed health care practitioners; provides that failure to report disciplinary actions taken against licensee's license to practice is additional ground under which practitioner is subject to discipline by department or board having jurisdiction over practitioner.
