HB 1319 (2003) -  Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission

Provides that a portion of the proceeds of the Save the Manatee Trust Fund shall be used for funding marine field law enforcement positions within the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for enforcement of laws designed to protect manatee populations in counties having the highest incidences of manatee deaths and injuries; creates an Office of Boating and Waterways within the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission; assigns duties to the office; provides for transfer of moneys from the Fuel Tax Collection Trust Fund to the Marine Resources Conservation Trust Fund; provides for the uses of the funds transferred from the Fuel Tax Collection Trust Fund; provides for competitive grant programs developed and administered by the commission.

Effective Date: This act shall take effect July 1, 2003
