HB 1075 (2004) -  Health Care Practitioner Workforce Database

Health Care Practitioner Workforce Database: Creates the Florida Health Care Practitioner Workforce Database in the Department of Health; authorizes the database to be implemented in stages; gives priority in the database to allopathic and osteopathic physicians; specifies basic data elements of allopathic and osteopathic physicians to be included in the database; requires that data for the database be gathered from existing data sources; requires certain entities to provide basic data elements to the department; authorizes the department to create an advisory committee and to employ or assign staff or contract, on a competitive-bid basis, to administer the database; provides that the act will not take effect unless funds are specifically appropriated for this purpose; directs that a specified trust fund not be used to administer the act.
