HB 1549 (2004) -  Workers' Compensation

Deletes authority of certain persons to elect to be exempt from workers' compensation coverage; provides that the new alternative will be regular workers' compensation coverage or an alternative coverage for accidents only, whether work-related or not work-related; provides standards for alternative coverage and a schedule of benefits payable for catastrophic injuries.
Effective Date: upon becoming a law, this act shall take effect January 1, 2005
