Revises certain requirements relating to scholarships for children of deceased veterans; provides for the appointment of a military representative to certain regional workforce boards; provides for licensure by endorsement of certain nurses licensed in another state that is a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact; provides that certain nurses relocating to this state may perform nursing services for a period of 120 days after submitting application for licensure; revises eligibility requirements for military dependents applying for a John M. McKay Scholarship; directs the Department of Education to assist in the development of memoranda of agreement between school districts and military installations; provides for alternate assessments for the grade 10 FCAT for certain military dependents; classifies dependents of active duty members of the armed services and certain liaison officers and their spouses and dependent children as residents for tuition purposes; directs Workforce Florida, Inc., to establish an employment advocacy and assistance program targeting military spouses and dependents; directs the Florida Housing Finance Corporation to assess the housing needs of Florida's military families; requires a report; provides an appropriation to fund the employment advocacy and assistance program.
