HB 1985 (2004) -  Interstate Compact for Juveniles

by Public Safety & Crime Prevention (CO-SPONSORS) Needelman; Barreiro; Gibson; Seiler
Provides authority for the execution of an interstate compact for juveniles, including definitions, terms, and conditions for such compact; provides for an Interstate Commission on Juveniles and State Councils; repeals provisions of law relating to the Interstate Compact on Juveniles, the juvenile compact administrator, supplementary agreements to such compact, financial arrangements for such compact and supplementary agreements, the responsibilities of state departments, agencies and officers with regard to such compact, and the authority for procedures in addition to such compact.
Effective Date: July 1, 2004, or upon enactment of the compact into law by the legislature of the 35th compacting state, whichever date occurs later
