HB 477 CS (2005) -  Hazard Mitigation for Coastal Redevelopment

Defines the term "local mitigation strategy" for purposes of the Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulation Act; provides an additional requirement for a local government's comprehensive plan concerning hazard mitigation; revises provisions with respect to coastal management; authorizes a demonstration project in certain counties to allow for the redevelopment of coastal areas within the designated coastal high hazard area; provides conditions; provides for application by a local government; provides for a written agreement between the state land planning agency and the local government; provides for a progress report to the Governor and the Legislature.
Effective Date: upon becoming a law.
