Liens for Recovering, Towing, or Storing Vehicles and Vessels: Applies certain vehicle towing and storage rates established by the Division of Florida Highway Patrol within certain counties; requires the division to set certain maximum towing and storage rates for certain vehicles in certain areas of the state; requires annual rate adjustments based on the Consumer Price Index; revises certain procedures for notification of a lien for recovery of certain towing and storage costs; removes authority of the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to release certain insurance company information; establishes fees; revises certain contents of lien notification; revises requirements for locating and notifying certain persons of the impending public sale of certain vehicles or vessels; revises certain public notice of the impending sale of an unclaimed vehicle or vessel; revises rulemaking authority.
Effective Date: July 1, 2006.
