St. Johns Water Control District, Indian River County: Codifies, amends, and reenacts special acts relating to the district; provides boundaries; provides the provisions of ch. 298, F.S., applicable thereto; provides for the levy, collection, and enforcement of installment and maintenance taxes by said district at the same time and in like manner as county taxes; provides that said taxes shall be extended by the county on the county tax roll and shall be collected by the tax collector in the same manner and time as county taxes; provides for the same discounts and penalties as county taxes; provides for the compensation of the county property appraiser and tax collector; provides that district taxes shall be a lien on lands against which taxes are levied of equal dignity with county and other taxes; provides that the approval of the board of drainage commissioners is not required to issue bonds; provides for floating indebtedness of the district; provides that payment of taxes in advance is not authorized; provides that use of bonds and interest coupons in payment of taxes is not authorized; provides that water is a common enemy; provides for compensation of the board of supervisors.
