Joint Resolution by Transportation Committee and Sansom
State Bonds for Transportation Funding: Proposes an amendment to s. 11, Art. VII of the State Constitution to authorize the Legislature to provide for the issuance of general obligation bonds by the State of Florida to finance or refinance right-of-way and other real property acquisitions for transportation improvements to highways, rail facilities, public transportation, airports, and seaports and to finance or refinance bridge repair and replacement projects; and to provide that the amount of these bonds, which pledge the full faith and credit of the state, shall not exceed 25 percent of the state's total tax revenues in the two preceding fiscal years.
