General Bill
Florida Retirement System:
Consolidates the operation of the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Supplemental Retirement Program under the Florida Retirement System; provides for assumption of program liabilities and obligations; abolishes the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Supplemental Retirement Trust Fund; bars program participants from membership in the Florida Retirement System; amends provisions relating to the establishment and administration of the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Supplemental Retirement Program; conforms provisions to changes made by the act; redefines the term "trust fund" for purposes of administering the program; provides a rate of monthly contributions; removes provisions relating to investments of the program trust fund; provides a declaration of important state interest.
