General Bill
Protection of Commercial Citrus Groves:
Provides conditions for use of Casuarina cunninghamiana as windbreak for commercial citrus groves; authorizes DACS to permit such as part of program to control citrus canker in commercial citrus groves; authorizes nurseries to produce Casuarina cunninghamiana under certain conditions once permitted by DACS; authorizes DACS to assess permit fees; provides for Casuarina cunninghamiana destruction; authorizes DACS to place lien against property under certain circumstances; provides use as windbreak does not preclude research or release of agents to control Casuarina sp.; provides Casuarina cunninghamiana use in windbreaks does not interfere with or restrict noxious weed or invasive plant control or management efforts; prohibits any agency or local government from removing Casuarina cunninghamiana planted as windbreak under DACS special permit.
