HB 993 (2008) -  Airline Travel

Requires airline that cancels or delays flight more than 1 hour to honor passenger's ticket at later date or reimburse cost plus penalty fee except under certain conditions; provides for civil action against airline by passenger for certain reasons; provides criminal penalty for airline; provides that certain airline tickets have no expiration date; provides that nonrefundable ticket that cannot be used by passenger can be transferred to another; allows airline to charge certain fees for transferred tickets; requires certain actions by airline carrier if boarded passengers are on board for more than 3 hours before takeoff; requires airline carrier to provide consumer complaint contact information to passengers.
