General Bill
Reports and Functions of the Department of Juvenile Justice:
Deletes provision that requires DJJ to report on performance of assessment & treatment services for serious or habitual juvenile offenders; deletes provision that requires DJJ to report on performance of assessment & treatment services of intensive residential treatment program for offenders less than 13 years of age; repeals provision relating to requirement that DJJ & DOE develop & implement evaluation of literacy programs for juvenile offenders & report on progress of literacy programs; repeals provisions relating to authority of Secretary of Juvenile Justice to designate certain persons within Office of Inspector General to enforce any criminal law & conduct any criminal investigation that relates to state-operated programs or facilities over which DJJ has jurisdiction.
