General Bill
Sexually Violent Predators:
Limits definition of term "sexually violent offense," for purposes of sexually violent predator provisions, to felony offenses; provides for prioritization of written assessment & recommendation for individuals scheduled or up for review for release when assessment & recommendation have not been completed within specified period; revises provisions relating to petitions to hold in custody following release & transfer to DCFS to provide for extension of certain time periods that expire after normal business hours; prohibits introduction of contraband into or its removal from grounds of any facility for commitment or detention of sexually violent predators; specifies items that constitute contraband; provides for designation of additional articles as contraband; provides for reasonable searches of individuals or vehicles entering facilities for contraband; provides for enforcement of provisions; provides enhanced criminal penalties for unlawful exposure of sexual organs violations committed by persons while committed to or detained in facilities for sexually violent predators.
