HB 1213 (2011) -  Domestic Violence and Stalking

Removes terms "stalking" & "aggravated stalking" from definition of "violence" as it pertains to repeat violence, sexual violence, or dating violence; requires clerk of court to assess fee for filing petition for protection against repeat violence; authorizes court to require respondent to reimburse victim for fee; creates cause of action for injunction for protection against stalking or cyberstalking; creates Stalking & Cyberstalking Injunction Statewide Verification System within FDLE; requires FDLE to establish, implement, & maintain statewide communication system capable of electronically transmitting information relating to stalking or cyberstalking injunctions; authorizes court to enforce violation of injunction for protection against stalking or cyberstalking; provides remedies for willful violation of such injunction.
