SB 998 (2013) -  Juvenile Offenders

Citing this act as the "Juvenile Sentencing Review Act"; providing that a juvenile offender who was younger than 18 years of age at the time of the commission of a nonhomicide or homicide offense and who is sentenced to life imprisonment is eligible for resentencing if the offender has been incarcerated for a minimum period; requiring that the Department of Corrections conduct a screening to determine whether a juvenile offender is eligible for a resentencing hearing; requiring a minimum term of probation for a juvenile offender resentenced by the court, etc.
