HB 597 (2016) -  Missing Person Investigations

Revises definition of term "missing endangered person"; provides that certain persons are immune from civil liability for damages for complying with request to release Lime Alert information to appropriate agencies; provides presumption that certain persons & entities recording, reporting, transmitting, displaying, or releasing such information acted in good faith; specifies that only law enforcement agency having jurisdiction over case may request that Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse activate state Lime Alert involving missing person who is suspected by law enforcement agency of meeting criteria for activation of Lime Alert Plan.
