Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners: Requires registration of advanced registered nurse practitioners with the Board of Nursing to prescribe medicinal drugs, including controlled substances; provides for fees and continuing education; prohibits prescribing controlled substances for oneself or immediate family members; provides for discipline; provides the board rulemaking authority; redefines the term "practitioner" under the "Florida Comprehensive Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Act" to conform.
Effective Date: This act shall take effect July 1, 2003
