I have some serious concerns with parts of the draft budget. In particular, I oppose using state money for the Governor's trafficking of asylum seekers and the amount of money sprinkled in this budget for frivolous lawsuits that seem designed to boost the Governor's culture wars and defense of his unconstitutional bills. However: the budget overall is a strong advancement of current state investments that focus on wages of state employees, investments in health care including disability services, arts and culture, homelessness prevention and other areas of community need. I am hopeful that the final budget will reflect changes inspired by my concerns.
