Capital sexual battery, particularly against a minor under the age of 12, is an egregious crime. I initially voted Yes on the floor after hearing debate about the intentional and unforgivable acts of violence inflicted on children. After careful consideration, I chose to change my vote because, as with other cases, I believe that a recommendation for the death penalty needs to be a unanimous vote.
