HB 1893 (2004) -  Criminal Offenses

Provides for reclassification of felony offenses committed against persons 65 years of age or older, elderly persons, and disabled adults; provides for the reclassification of misdemeanor assault and battery offenses when committed against persons 65 years of age or older; provides for a mandatory term of imprisonment upon conviction of certain theft offenses when committed against persons 65 years of age or older; provides for a mandatory term of imprisonment upon conviction for certain acts of exploitation against an elderly person or disabled adult.
Effective Date: July 1, 2004, and shall apply to offenses committed on or after that date
