General Bill by Fiorentino (CO-SPONSORS) Baxley; Berfield; Homan; Kosmas
Mobile Home Owners: Includes mobile home premises in a provision of law providing for service of process in an action for possession of residential premises; provides for a license tax surcharge on motor vehicles for deposit into the Florida Mobile Home Relocation Trust Fund; includes a reference to ch. 723, F.S., in the Disposition of Personal Property Landlord and Tenant Act; provides a surcharge under the Florida Mobile Home Act on certain mobile home lots for deposit into the Florida Mobile Home Relocation Trust Fund; authorizes mobile home park owners to charge a fee for the cost of cleanup or repair of a mobile home or lot under certain circumstances; prohibits the filing of certain actions in circuit court in the event that a request for mediation has not been filed; provides for the placement of any size used or new mobile home on a mobile home lot under certain circumstances; revises language with respect to eviction to include reference to eviction of a mobile home tenant or a mobile home occupant; provides that persons who receive compensation from the Florida Mobile Home Relocation Corporation shall not have a claim or cause of action against the corporation or the park owner under certain circumstances; provides an additional situation where a mobile home park owner is not required to make certain payments nor is entitled to certain compensation from the Florida Mobile Home Relocation Corporation; revises language with respect to compensation from the Florida Mobile Home Relocation Corporation.

Effective Date: This act shall take effect upon becoming a law
