Revises language with respect to legislative purpose under the Florida Vacation Plan and Timesharing Act; revises language with respect to the scope of the act to include reference to personal property timeshare plans; provides definitions; revises language with respect to contracts for purchase of timeshare interests to include provisions with respect to personal property timeshare interests; revises language with respect to resale purchase agreements to include reference to certain real property and personal property timeshare plans; revises language with respect to public offering statements; revises language with respect to incidental benefits, requiring purchasers to execute a statement indicating the source of the benefit; revises language with respect to escrow accounts, reservation agreements, advertising materials; corrects cross references; provides for required recordkeeping by the seller of a personal property timeshare plan; revises language with respect to management; provides that a section of law governing the discharge of the managing entity shall not apply with respect to personal property timeshare plans; revises language with respect to assessments for common expenses; provides that a section of law governing certain liens does not apply to personal property timeshare plans; revises language with respect to transfer of interest; revises language with respect to exchange programs; includes reference to personal property timeshare interests; amends provisions relating to licensing requirements; provides for the application of certain provisions to personal property timeshare plans; exempts accommodations and facilities of personal property timeshare plans from a provision of law governing firesafety; revises language with respect to regulation by the division; redefines the term "multisite timeshare plan" and defines the terms "nonspecific multisite timeshare plan" and "specific multisite timeshare plan"; revises language with respect to subordination instruments; deletes a cross reference; provides reference to filed rather than registered public offering statements; provides reference to multisite timeshare plans; provides for reference to filed rather than registered public offering statements; provides reference to multistate timeshare plans; provides reference to personal property timeshare plans; revises language with respect to timeshare estates in multisite timeshare plans; revises language with respect to appointment of a registered agent; includes reference to personal property timeshare interests.
Effective Date: This act shall take effect upon becoming a law
