HB 1207 CS (2004) -  Parenting Coordination

Parenting Coordination : Provides definitions; authorizes the court to appoint a parenting coordinator; requires the parenting coordinator to serve until discharged by the court; authorizes the court to order the parenting coordinator to make determinations related to implementing the parenting plan; provides that the parenting coordinator's determination is binding under specified circumstances; provides that communications with a parenting coordinator are not confidential with exceptions; establishes the qualifications for a parenting coordinator; requires the court to determine a party's financial ability to pay for services; provides for compensation; requires the protection of the child's or children's best interest; establishes the duties of a parenting coordinator; provides prohibitions; provides civil immunity for parenting coordinators acting within the scope of employment; provides applicability.
