HB 1485 (2005) -  Charter Schools

Revises various provisions governing charter schools; requires the sponsor of a charter school to implement certain policies and procedures; provides requirements for monitoring and review; requires an annual survey of governing boards; requires notification of denial of a charter school application; provides mediation requirements; provides conditions for nonrenewal or termination of a charter; requires maintenance of certain information regarding applicants and charter schools.
Effective Date: July 1, 2005, except that subparagraph 3. of paragraph (a) of subsection (5) of section 1002.33, Florida Statutes, as created by this act, shall take effect upon becoming a law.
